Decisive threshold
A gesture must never end halfway.
- Drag the edge: the sidebar follows down to its minimum, then nothing happens until you are close to the left edge.
- There it commits and runs all the way, with a 6 px twitch the wrong way in the first frame.
- Drag back out past the second line and it opens again.
