Sports physiology
W′ balance. A workout and the W′ it leaves, second by second.
I come from sport, where you train for months for one race. Building RAMTT taught me to design and to code, and I bring the same patience to the apps and websites I make for businesses.

For years my days were about athletes: their training plans, what they ate before a long ride, why one week went well and the next did not. I took master’s degrees in sports physiology and sports nutrition, and I coached endurance athletes. I wanted better tools for them, so I started building RAMTT, a platform where an athlete plans training and fueling in one place.
Somewhere along the way I fell for the work itself: the type, the layout, the code and the moment an app finally does what I pictured. I learned the whole trade, from the logo, the colors and the motion on the screen to the database underneath. On the way I built Zibaldone, a workspace for writing, private conversation and design, and thirty-nine working prototypes. I have done it every day since, often late at night.
Today I make apps, websites and products for businesses, and I give each one the attention I used to give an athlete before a race. I like being close to the people who will use what I make, as I was with the athletes I trained. That habit came with me from sport.
Five things I have done, and the part of the work each one shows in.
W′ balance. A workout and the W′ it leaves, second by second.
Current. An article that checks its own drawings against published measurements.
Workout check. Write a workout and see where W′ runs out, before you ride it.
Colophon. Logo, color, type, shape, motion and writing, every color a token from one file.
Strata. A SQL database written from nothing, held against SQLite.
Plans training and fueling for endurance athletes, and works without a connection.
