Engines and products I have built
Every engine on this page is checked against another program or an official test suite, such as SQLite, Git or LibreOffice, and opens in the Lab. The products are the two apps in use and the working examples, each with its case.
Press ` and type a name, such as strata, to open it.
Engines checked against a reference
Each row opens to what the engine does, the case or post about it, and the piece in the Lab you can use.
Run code your users write safely inside your page, step by step. Spark is a JavaScript engine written in JavaScript that passes nearly all of the official test suite for the language.
Keep your app’s data in a database that runs in the browser and still works offline. Strata reads SQL, plans each query by cost and survives a crash in the middle of a transaction, and every answer is checked against SQLite.
Show your customers a map of your own with routes, search and reach, without paying per map view. Atlas draws Aarhus from OpenStreetMap’s raw data on the GPU and plans routes by car, bike and on foot, each checked against a slower exact method.
Give your app version history that real developer tools accept. Loom is Git written for the browser: it commits, branches, merges and clones a repository from GitHub, and every result is checked against Git itself.
Run software built for another processor inside a web page. Boot is a computer written from nothing that starts Linux in the browser, and its processor passes the official RISC-V test suite.
Put spreadsheet models inside your own app and get the answers your accountant gets. Cells recalculates only the cells a change reaches, and a test holds every cell against LibreOffice.
Draw your own documents, reports or designs exactly, without a browser: a layout engine that reads HTML and CSS and matches Chromium box for box, and sets text the way a printer would.
Keep your data correct when a server loses power or the network splits. Five servers agree on every change, and a checker tests every history of reads and writes for wrong answers.
Products in use and working examples
The two apps in use come first, then the working examples in the Lab. Each card opens its case.
ramtt.app helps endurance athletes plan their training and fueling in one place. It works without a connection, and it syncs when the athlete is back online.

PrivateLive productZibaldone brings writing, private conversation and visual design into one workspace. Your documents are encrypted before they reach the server.

SIWorking exampleInvoices read by SI, and checked by a person only where it matters.

OfflineWorking exampleBookkeeping that works offline on every laptop, and proves the books balance.
Posts about the software
